 AFTER retiring, Richard, from the state of California, decided to move to Oaxaca with his family to offer people all around the world his beautiful, comfortable welcoming Bed & Breakfast Casa María Calenda.STAYING in Casa María Calenda you will be able to enjoy the same relaxing pleasant enviroment that Richard has been enjoying these few years of his retirement. María Calenda is located in the beautiful colonial city of Oaxaca, México, with It`s moderate climate all year around. We are located two and a half blocks away from the beautiful Zócalo -the city square- with beautiful outside cafés and two blocks from the famous Guelaguetza Auditorium. Every July you will be able to enjoy the seven regional cultural dances of Oaxaca, known as the Guelaguetza, one of the main tourist attraction.  
 TO make you feel right at home, we offer you breakfast in the morning, coffee and tea twenty four hours a day in its many varieties.IF your option is to stay and relax in the house, we offer you a wide sreen television, were you will be able to enjoy movies & concerts in English, French or Spanish. You will be attended 24 hours a day by the inkeepers, Richard and Dolores, every family member speaks fluent English and Spanish.
